Introduction to the correct use of ceramic blades
Ceramic is a high-hardness tool material after high-speed steel, cemented carbide, and coated cemented carbide tools; how to use ceramic blades correctly?
1. Choose a blade shape with excellent strength, please try to choose a blade shape with excellent strength.
2. Minimize the protruding amount. If the protruding amount is too long, vibration lines and blade defects will occur.
3. Countermeasures for blade defect. Before machining starts, perform chamfering at the corners of the workpiece. If the corner of the workpiece is processed at an acute angle, small chipping or chipping of the insert will occur, please pay attention.
4. Stagnation is strictly prohibited. If the blade contacts the workpiece at zero feed, it will cause significant wear, so please be careful.
5. Cutting oil. When turning, please use enough cutting oil. In the case of strong interrupted machining, it may be better to cancel the machining effect of cutting oil. When milling, the cutting oil is cancelled and dry machining is used.
6. Knife tip treatment. In heat-resistant alloy machining, although a sharp edge is required. However, when using ceramic inserts, the chamfering and rounding of small angles are more conducive to exerting excellent wear resistance, especially boundary wear resistance.
